Novellas into a book

It was when I was writing the fourth instalment of the Clarendon Playmates Kink Series that I started to consider sewing all the parts together into one book. I know many people who only read books, and in all honesty I have only recently heard of novellas (at basically the same time as when I learnt spicy books existed in all honesty!) When the thought crossed my mind, I couldn’t turn away the opportunity of having one book printed and in my hands that I wrote. It might be my first and last, but gee that dream seems pretty great to me. Amazon seem to make the process rather easy with their print on demand function. I wont ever need to order 1000 copies in the hope I can sell them (how good is that?!) As far as I can see I need to have a full book cover created, buy an IBSN and barcode, order an author Proof copy from Amazon before I hit publish on Amazon. Well, I do hope that is as simple as it sounds…..

I really like this idea is because I can send a hard copy out to ARC readers via ebook or hard copy, should I manage to find some.

I also like having the full book version because each of the novellas follows Rosies journey seemlessly. I do of course plan to write three more novellas and then turn them into a book also. I like starting off with the Novellas because my brain doesn’t get overwhelmed at the thought of sitting down and writing 300-400 pages.

The one downside to having the novella’s and full book with the same title is confusion. I don’t want to confuse my customers with the same name of the first novella and full book. Maybe in the future I will take down the novellas and only sell the book. I don’t know what is for the best and without the experience, I don’t know what to do. Time will tell.

So with that in mind, I have just commissioned my new paperback cover for The Secret Club. I cannot wait for you to see it!
