BookBub
Everything hangs in the balance of Bookbub. When I started my writing journey I knew it would be impossible to be found online and even harder to picked up by an agent. But that’s ok I thought, I will run Amazon Ads. Until the day I uploaded my first novella and I went to start an advertising campaign and realised you can’t create ads for Erotica. Bugger. Now sucked.
Plan B. BookBub. I am aprehensive that they’ll include me in one of their mail out emails because my debut book has no reviews. So, Bookbub Ads is my chosen path. I spent a Friday morning last month creating as many Ads as possible until one just clicked. Its clean, straight to the point and it basically represents everything I would wish it to. I am 100% no graphic designer. But I know what I personally like, and it needs to be readable and clear. So my Ad is ready. Just need the final edited book now.
I have read every single Bookbub email possible. I even tried to understand how to work out the ROI’s, but my brain isn’t playing ball until I see the results for myself. So althought I ‘think’ I understand how to work out the results, I may need to go over the blogs many times to get my own end result. That doesn’t bother me! I am chomping at the bit to get started. It’s exciting. Almost as exciting as writing out a scene I’ve thought up on a beach walk. I cannot wait to get started and see if I can entice my own to-be reader to give a little unknown author a try and delve into my erotic world of submission and kinks.
I do have a little goal (between me and you). That goal is to make it onto the USA Best Sellers List and NY Times best sellers list. I am going to throw everything I can at the chance. Can you even imagine? Funny thing is, even if I did, I still wouldn’t tell a soul. It would be between you and me. But now I’m getting carried away. One baby step at a time. I still need to send the book out into the world first. And then pray I find my people. Then pray they buy it. Then pray they like it. Then Pray they leave me a nice review.
This is my shot, my dream, my goal. I’m going to take it, try it and reach it. I can do this. I’ve got this.
